Hiking - Every trail tells a story
Hima Hammana is a hiker's paradise, weaving together dramatic landscapes, ancient forests, cascading waterfalls, rocky cliffs, and breathtaking panoramas over the Beirut River Valley one of Lebanon's most important natural treasures. Whether you're seeking a leisurely family walk, a challenging trek, or a nature-filled adventure, the Hima offers unforgettable experiences for every level. The main trail spans 10 kilometers, extendable to 14 by incorporating additional routes, with Thousands of visitors having explored these paths since 2011. As part of the Lebanon Mountain Trail network, the waymarked Hammana-Falougha side trail awaits, while the unique "From Hima to Hima" concept connects community-conserved areas across Mount Lebanon, celebrating Lebanon's natural and cultural heritage. Every season reveals a new side of the Hima's beauty: spring's wildflowers and flowing waterfalls, summer's cool shade beneath pine, cedar, and oak, autumn's warm colors, and winter's snow-covered vistas. For something truly magical, join our Full Moon Hikes, where moonlit trails, star-filled skies, and peaceful ridges create an unforgettable nighttime experience. Beyond the trails, hiking here is a journey through nature and culture - birdwatching along a major migratory flyway, historical landmarks, and authentic Lebanese hospitality - guided by our certified local guides, trained with LMT, SPNL’s Droub el Hima, and conservation NGOs.
