Cherry Picking - Hammana's cherry on top
Cherry picking is quite literally Hammana's cherry on top. Perched at around 1,200 meters above sea level, Hammana's altitude provides the perfect climate for cherry trees to thrive. With over 10 family-owned orchards hosting a wide range of varieties, from deep black to bright red and golden yellow, the harvest season stretches from May through mid-July, offering weeks of picking pleasure. Hammana's love affair with cherry trees dates to after World War I, and the pride runs deep. Every June, the village hosts its beloved Cherry Festival, featuring local cherry products, traditional music, and artisan displays, a celebration of harvest, heritage, and community that draws visitors from across Lebanon.
